More about Marien Church (Marienkirche)
The construction of St. Mary's Church began around 1290 and was not properly completed until the middle of the 15th century. With a height of 86.32 meters, the tower of the Marienkirche is the second tallest building in Rostock.
With particularly rich furnishings such as the main altar, the organ, the sermon pulpit, a bronze baptismal font and even an astronomical clock, the Marienkirche is a special attraction in Rostock.
It belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran inner city community of Rostock, the provost office.
